Holiday-ish: Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th is considered the unluckiest day of the year.

Why do people consider Friday the 13th a bad day? Well, it is because Jesus was crucified on a Friday and there were 13 people at the last supper.

Whatever the reason, the legend has persisted for generations, and now this is considered the most unlucky of days on the calendar, a day when anything bad that can happen, will.

Some people that have a family of 13 they will set a teddy bear at the table to eliminate the unlucky number.

Some things people consider superstition on Friday the 13th:

  • walking under a ladder
  •  walking past a black cat
  •  cutting your hair and nails
  • eating food that is the size of choking food
  • crossing your eyes

All of these actions are things people will NOT do on Friday the 13th.

Maybe the best thing to do is watch one of the most iconic horror movies of all time, Friday the 13th, which features all-time slasher Jason Vorhees and is safer than most superstitions.
