Cross country teams run Tyrone into the ground

Christian Sensibaugh ran his best time of the season against Tyrone on Senior Day.

Both the B-A boys and girls team are celebrating big wins in cross country over rival Tyrone yesterday in Bellwood.

The girls, with a 26-30 win, once again had Lexi Lovrich leading the way with a season best time of 20:22. Rorie Wolfe came in 2nd with a time of 25:46, and Jalynn Partner finished 3rd with a time of 27:49.

The boys won 17-39 with deep production from all its runners. Aside from falling short of Aiden Detwiler’s time of 18:32, B-A had three runners in the top five. Christian Sensibaugh led Bellwood and placed 2nd with a time of 19:20, Daman Mills placed 3rd with a time of 19:32, and Corry Shanafelt placed 4th with a time of 20:18.

The two wins give B-A teams three Backyard Brawl victories this fall.

It was Senior Day for B-A, and the teams recognized Lovrich, Sensibaugh, Mills, Carter Rettig, Jacob Hawn, and Noah Green.

The cross country teams will take on Portage on Wednesday, October 11.
