The Bellwood-Antis volleyball team swept Juniata Valley in their breast cancer awareness Pink Out game Thursday night, with scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-3.

Hailee McConnell put together a great game with 33 assists, 20 service points, and 5 aces, but this was much bigger than just a game for her.

Hailee gave a heartfelt speech before the game about her mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.

B-A hiked its record to 14-1, while the Lady Hornets dropped to 8-9.

In other sports action, the Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls soccer team also came up with a big 6-1 victory over Huntingdon.

A 4-year old record of 76 career goals set by B-A alum Riley D’Angelo in 2018 was broken by Tyrone’s leading scorer Chloe LaRosa, who scored 5 of the teams 6 goals last night, giving her at 81 career goals.
