Boys and girls varsity basketball teams both take loss

On Tuesday night, the boys and girls basketball teams experienced struggles and frustrations in losses both inside and outside of the ICC.

The Lady Blue Devils fell to the Williamsburg Pirates  on the road 56-40 for their first ICC loss. By the fourth quarter, the Lady Blue Devils were trailing by 25 points, and turned the ball over 23 times.

Sophomore Leigha Clapper led B-A with 13 points, while senior forward Lydia Worthing finished the game with 9 points and 13 rebounds.

By the end of the third quarter, Lydia Worthing, Chelsea McCaulsky, and Chloe Hammond all picked up their fourth fouls.

The Lady Blue Devils now sit at 6-2 on the season and are looking to get an away victory over the Huntingdon Bearcats (5-5) on Wednesday.

The Bellwood-Antis boys basketball team took a loss to Central at home.

The game was within three points at the end of the first quarter, but, the score quickly became 27-8 at half time following a 19-0 run by the Dragons  to end the quarter. By then, the score was 47-21. Despite the comeback attempt, the final score became 55-37.

Anthony Carraciola was the high scorer for the Blue Devils, scoring a total of 12 points. 

The boys will take on the West Branch Warriors at home on Thursday.
