Last week, Bellwood-Antis senior Andrew Nycum announced his commitment to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes to further his education and  football career.

Andrew is now the second B-A senior to announce their commitment to a college for football, following his close friend and teammate Eli Pluebell, who committed the week before to Clarion University.

Andrew committed as a defensive tackle, where in his final year with B-A, he racked up an astonishing 70 tackles, 10 TFL, and averaged 6.4 tackles a game.

“I’m really going to miss Bellwood, I couldn’t have asked for better teammates and coaches for the past 4 years, preparing me for taking this next step of my career,” said Andrew. “I’ll still bleed blue and gold at heart”

As soon as Andrew toured Geneva, he knew that was going to be his future home.

“I instantly felt at home. When I toured the campus, the coaches and professors that I’m going to have greeted me with nothing but kindness, and explained how willing they were to help make me a better man,” said Andrew. “The football team was very welcoming and ready to get to work with me and help me become a better man and player” explained Andrew.

Playing a tough schedule against the likes of Grove City, Waynesburg, and Carnegie Mellon, Geneva was 3-7 in 2022.

Congratulations Andrew on your commitment!
