Caleb Beiswenger is one of three BA basketball players slated for the Altoona Mirror All-Star game.

Several Bellwood-Antis students were invited to participate in the Altoona Mirror Classic game that will be played on Friday, March 31.

Each year, several players in the area are selected to participate based on their performance in the regular season. This years’ players include seniors Caleb Beiswenger, Lydia Worthing, and Chealsea McCaulsky.

“It should be a pretty fun game,” said McCaulsky. “Most of the kids I know from AAU, so it will be cool to play with them one last time.”

Teams consist of the top players in Blair County, who are matched with the top players in Central Pennsylvania.

“I am honored to be a part of this and I am super excited to play with some of my biggest competitors,” said Worthing.

The game is set to take place at Penn State Altoona’s Alder Arena; the girls game is set to tip off at 6:30 p.m., and the boys game is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m.

In addition to the Mirror Classic, Caleb Beiswenger will also be participating in the ICC All Star game set to be played Saturday, March 25 at Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

“It’s an honor to be a part of these all star games,” said Beiswenger. “I feel like it’s a reward for all the hard work I have put in throughout the season. It will be a fun way to end my high school career.”

Members of the ICC and Friends boys team will go head-to-head with the Big Mountain All-Stars. The events will include a 3-point contest, slam dunk contest, and the all-star game.
