On Tuesday, both the B-A boys baseball team and girls softball team played the Juniata Valley Hornets.

The baseball dominated its game at home with a score of 10-3, which advances the team to a 3-1 record on the season. Their only loss came last week to Central, last year’s state champions.

Against the Hornets, junior Josh Dorminy dominated the plate with three hits, while Sophomore Matt Berkowitz continued to smoke the ball, going  1 for 2 with 3 RBIs.

The team racked up four of the ten runs with a fast start  in the first inning.

Chris Walls earned the win, striking out 9 in 5 2/3 innings of work.

The BA softball team made a trip to the Hornet’s nest in Alexandria, where they got stung badly with a 16-1 loss, moving them to an 0-4 record on the season. The Lady Devils have scored only two runs through their first four games.
