On Tuesday, B-A’s volleyball team played against Bishop Guilfoyle Academy. The Lady Blue Devils came out with the win after their tough loss against Bald Eagle just a day earlier. The Lady Blue Devils won in a sweep, having scores of 25-20, 25-13, and 25-22.
Seniors Avah Hassler and Addy Turek both had big games. Hassler led the team with 21 assists, while Turek had 15 kills. Sophomore Alexis Wagner also had a solid performance, having 12 digs for B-A.
“It felt good to bounce back,” Hassler said. “We look to build off of it for the rest of the season.”
On Monday, the Bellwood-Antis volleyball team went to Bald Eagle, where the Lady Blue devils lost 3-1. The game started off 1-1, with Bald Eagle winning the first set 13-25, then B-A taking the second set 25-20. Bald Eagle went on to win the next two sets in close battles, with scores of 22-25 and 23-25.
After these two games, Bellwood-Antis now has a record of 8-5.
B-A will play their next game away against Juniata Valley on Monday. The game will start at 7.
