On Tuesday night, Bellwood-Antis played away at Philipsburg-Osceola. B-A ended up with the win, 3-1.
PO won the first set, with a score of 21-25. However, the Lady Blue Devils came back strong with a dominant set win, winning the second set 25-13. B-A proceeded to win the next two sets, having scores of 25-20 and 25-20.
B-A improved their record to 10-5 after this win.
Top performers in this game included seniors Ava Patton and Avah Hassler, as well as junior Bella Myers. Patton had 12 service points with 11 digs, and Hassler had 12 blocks and an astounding 36 assists. Myers had 10 blocks and 10 service points to help get the win.
This is the third straight win for the Lady Blue Devils, as they prepare for the Backyard Brawl against a tough Tyrone team.
Bellwood-Antis will play away at Tyrone on Thursday. The game will start at 7.
GIRLS SOCCER LOSES
The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls soccer team fell short on Tuesday at home against Central 2-0.It was the girls third straight loss after winning winning 3 in a row.
Central’s Leah Hazenstab scored both of goals.
One of her goals was scored late in the first half and the other scored early in the second half.
They Lady Eagles has now fell 4-8-1, but are still battle for a playoff spot. The team is looking to bounce back playing on Thursday at Bald Eagle Area (11-3-1).
