The Lady Blue Devils played their second round game against the Forest Hills Lady Rangers on Tuesday. B-A lost in a 3-0 sweep, which put an official end to their season. The set scores were not very close for the first two sets, with scores of 25-14 and 25-15. The third set was much closer, where Forest Hills narrowly won 25-23.
Forest Hills will be moving on to play in the semi-final. They will play the winner of Philipsburg-Osceola and West Shamokin.
The Lady Rangers had control the entire game. Senior Julia Chunta had 39 assists in the game, and senior Mya Colosimo had 21 kills.
Senior Avah Hassler had a very successful high school volleyball career for Bellwood-Antis.
“These past 4 years have meant the absolute world to me,” Hassler said. “This team allowed me to love the game again while also teaching me teamwork and dedication. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to play for this team and to play alongside every single one of these girls.”
The Lady Blue Devils had an overall great season, and the future looks bright for this talented team.
