The Bellwood-Antis Junior High Volleyball team had an impressive fall 2024 season, with many players excelling. We interviewed two standout athletes, Izzy Weeks and Amelia Gerwert. Izzy, an outside hitter, aimed to work together and grow as a team, while still having fun with her friends. Amelia, a middle blocker, hoped to improve on blocking and hitting. She cherished the bus rides and making new memories with friends.
Playing volleyball brings the players together, creating lifelong memories. As student-athletes, they have many responsibilities, including keeping up with schoolwork and attending mandatory practices. Although being a student-athlete, especially in volleyball, can be challenging, the team believes it is all worth it when they are having fun with their best friends.
