The Bellwood-Antis Lady Blue Devils beat the Bulldogs 58-35 last week when they traveled to Claysburg-Kimmel.

Junior Karson Swogger led the Lady Blue Devils in scoring with 34 points, 6 boards, and 8 steals.   With Freshman Riley D’Angelo adding 9 points and Senior Caroline Showalter owning the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds.

Both teams struggled to score early on with a score of only 6-6 after the first quarter.

The game heated up in 2nd quarter with 10-0 run sparked by two Karson Swogger steals and jump shots.  D’Angelo helped finish the first half off with a 20-8 second quarter by adding 5 of her 9 points and take a 26-14 lead.

The pace slowed down in the 3rd quarter, but the B-A picked it up again in the 4th quarter scoring 19 points to end the game and secure the win.

With B-A successfully shutting down the Lady Bulldogs, they now have their sights set on Penns Valley.
