Track and Field teams win over Juniata Valley, Fanett-Metal

The Bellwood-Antis Track and Field teams picked up its second and third wins Tuesday when they had a showdown versus Juniata Valley and Fanett-Metal. It was a cake walk for BA, as they placed in almost all of the events that took place.

The BA boys won all of their relay events, along with sweeping the pole vault ranks. Junior Matt Glunt took first place in the long jump along with Tom Whiteford, who took first in the disucs.

For the girls, senior Marissa Panasiti took first place in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes, and junior Karson Swogger took the gold in the long and triple jump.

“I tried my best,” said Panasiti when asked about her dominance yesterday. “It felt good to go out and show up for my team.”

The Boys and Girls track teams are now sitting pretty with a 3-2 record. They’re next meet is on April 7th at Tyrone .
