The Bellwood-Antis boys wrestling team got thumped by a score of 61-6 Tuesday night in which Derrick Noonan and Kaylob Tastch got all 6 points for the Blue Devils both winning by points.

“When we went to Mo Valley we knew that they had a very strong team with most of their wrestlers being very experienced.  They have one of the strongest teams that we wrestle this year and hopefully we learned from the experience.  This group has been working hard and I am sure that when we see Mo valley again in January we will show progress.” said Coach Ron Wilson.

Despite the loss Tuesday night the team had a pretty impressive showing at the Conemaugh Township wrestling tournament in which the whole team contributed to a great 3rd place finish.  The team competed in 46 individual matches and gained a lot of valuable experience.

“It was a good start to the season, but there are many obstacles before we get to the district tournament in February and we must continue to improve.”  Said Coach Wilson.
