Bellwood-Antis wrestling met its match last night when the Blue Devils went head to head against the Dragons of Central, which is now 15-9 on the season.

Bailey Kudlawiec (113 lbs.), Kaylob Tatsch (132 lbs.), and Ryan Kerns (195lbs.) were stars of the night for B-A, each pinning their opponent. But pins weren’t enough though for the hardnosed Devils as they faced defeat 50-27.

Derrick Noonan pulled out a forfeit to donate six points to the team score. Colton Gorrity was relentless at 170 pounds, winning by decision 6-1.

But those were the lone bright spots for B-A.

Noah Schratzmeier (182 lbs.) was in a tight 1-1 tie going into the third period. Unfortunately, Schratzmeier slipped to his deep in the third period and was pinned.

The wrestlers dropped to 4-8 on the year but look to bounce back in their next matchup on Thursday against Penns Valley.
