Feature Teacher: Mr Lovrich

Mr. Lovrich is involved in a lot at Bellwood-Antis. Aside from being a PE teacher and the Health Department Chairperson, he is a very giving person and is always wanting to give back.

Mr. Lovrich is in charge of running RSM scholarship that the FCA sponsors each year. He also runs several charitable events through FCA, like the cereal drive, and his family sponsors an annual scholarship for seniors.

“The support our community has for our school is outstanding,” Mr. Lovrich said.  “It is great living in a place where the town shut down for a Friday night football game, sells out multiple nights for musicals, and donates thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors.  There is no other place that I would want my children to grow up.”

Mr. Lovrich also loves sports. He is a varsity football assistant coach, and he is the head boys track and field coach.  He has been teaching here at Bellwood-Antis for 20 years, after graduating from B-A in 1991.

In his free time he likes to cook, do work around the house, and follow Pittsburgh sports teams.

“It is wonderful working with Mr. Lovrich,” said fellow physical education teacher Mrs. Lori Nyman. “He is one of the hardest working people I know.  He is organized, detail oriented and always planning ahead.  He is very dedicated to this school and every student here.  Mr. Lovrich is always positive, level headed and a great at giving advice.”
