The Blue Devil baseball team was able to capture its first win of the season Thursday, defeating Glendale on the road, 8-2.

The Devils found themselves in a struggle starting out the year facing two of the best teams in the conference in Juniata Valley and Mount Union, putting them with an early two losses.

B-A was able to find some rhythm Thursday afternoon against the Vikings, only giving up two runs. Nevin Wood got the win on the mound, and Caden Nagle closed for B-A.

Bellwood also found its groove offensively scoring eight runs to leave no doubt on their victory.

Brendan Kowalski, Troy Walker and Travis Luensman each had doubles, while Trent Walker stoked the attack with four RBI in a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Joe Padula also had a pair of hits and drove in two runs.

A dominant performance is was what the Blue Devils needed to get their confidence back. The Devils will be back in town Tuesday to face off against the Blue Pirates of Willamsburg.
