Blue Devils top lowly Bald Eagle

The Bellwood-Antis boys basketball team bounced back from their loss against Juniata Valley Saturday to top a Bald Eagle team that has now dropped their sixth game in a row.

The Blue Devils started the game slow and finished the first quarter tied 17-17 with the Bald Eagles, but they picked up steam as the game transitioned to the second quarter. The Blue Devils had their most offensive quarter this season, and scored 27 points to Bald Eagle’s 10.

Trent Walker, as per usual, played a big part in the win and he scored 31 Saturday including 5 three pointers.

Clay Engle and Tanner Worthing also added over 10 points as they continued to be a consistent trio of point-getters.

The Blue Devils continued their offensive style of play into the third quarter and put up 20 points. The fourth quarter ended with Bald Eagle taking advantage of Blue Devil coach, Kevin Conlon, taking out his starters and the game finished with B-A taking a 80-67 win, their eighth of the season.

The Blue Devils will face the Moshannon Valley Knights in what should be a win against a team that is currently 2-9 and 1-7 against ICC talent.
