COLLEGE CORNER: The BluePrint staff

Kaelynn Behrens

Colin McCaulley, Jake Miller, Sidney Patterson, Olivia Statter, and Julie Bauer have left an indelible mark on the BluePrint, and now they are heading off to college.

BluePrint writers often get left out of some of our publication’s celebrations throughout the school year. We believe in highlighting the achievements of our student body, but BluePrint kids often aren’t featured because it just doesn’t seem right to highlight your own. So you never see BluePrint writers in feature sections like Fab Freshman or Just Junior. And we have never put a BluePrint writer in the College Corner section.

That is changing this week. The BluePrint has five writers just in our first period class (excluding independent study students) who are going on to college next year, and we thought it was time for them to a little recognition for it.

Editor in chief Sidney Patterson will be attending Penn State. She hasn’t decided on a major yet but is favoring education.

Sports Editor Jake Miller is also going to Penn State to major in marketing and graphic design.

Julie Bauer will be attending Susquehanna to major in English, publishing and editing.

Colin McCaulley is headed to IUP to study physical therapy.

Olivia Stetter is Penn State-bound and planning on taking up special education.

Good luck to all of our high school graduates. We were lucky at the BluePrint to have all of you on the staff!
