After a relatively slow start for the Blue Devils putting the score at 1-0 going into the 3rd, Bellwood caught fire in the third inning pushing across 5 runs in the 3rd inning extending their lead to 6-0. The baseball team pushed their lead to 8-1 going into the bottom half of the 5th inning. Bellwood was able to score 3 runs and ended the game with a final score of 11-1.

Vincent Cacciotti was the winning pitcher for the Blue Devils giving up just one run in his four innings of work. To go along with his successful pitching outing, Vincent added two hits of his own, and 4 RBIs.

Nick Kost came in to close the game out in the 5th and final inning. Nick was able to hold The Vikings scoreless and secured the 10 run mercy rule (11-1).

Bellwood’s major contributors at the plate include Cooper Guyer getting 3 hits in his 4 plate appearances, Vincent Cacciotti knocking in 4 RBIs on his two hits, and Jack Luensmann added two hits of his own, including the game sealing RBI.

Bellwood will look to make it three in a row when the team travels to Curwensville to take on the Golden Tide.
