Artist of the Week: Jocelyn McGuire
Jocelyn McGuire is involved in many aspects of the arts, from performing to producing.
Jocelyn McGuire, a Bellwood-Antis senior, has been selected as this week’s artist of the week.
Jocelyn is part of theater, chorus and this year’s school musical! She loves to sing and act. For Jocelyn, “It’s a way to express myself.”
She had a role in High School Musical in middle school and was previously a sound tech for Beauty and the Beast. Her performing arts career started in elementary school.
Jocelyn is most proud of Beauty and the Beast. “The cast worked so hard, and we did an amazing job.” Jocelyn describes her acting as, “Improvable.”
Jocelyn’s favorite memories include, “working on solo songs,” and the atmosphere of theater when you see, “everyone work together to improve.”
Joceyln is inspired by artists like Janis Joplin and Billy Joel. Musically Jocelyn adores Lea Michelle.
In her off-time Jocelyn enjoys singing and playing piano.
