Track team takes victory over McConnellsburg and Tussey Mountain

Both the boys and girls track team took a two-in-one victory against Tussey Mountain and McConnellsburg this past Thursday, April 20. 

The boys scores were 105-44 (McConnellsburg), and 109-41 (Tussey Mountain). This puts their overall record at 9-3. 

The girls’ scores were 132.5-17.5 (McConnellsburg), and 124-25 (Tussey Mountain). This puts their overall record at 11-1. 

The 4x800m team took first with a time of 9:34.6. Caleb Beiswenger took first place in the 1600m run and second in the 800m run with times of 5:24.1 and 2:25.5. Kole Dickinson finished first in both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles, with times of 16.5 and 43.98. 

Dylan Andrews took first in the triple jump and pole vault with a distance of 38-2.25 and a height of 14-0. Eli Pluebell took first in the shot put with a distance of  42-5.5. Chance Schreier took first in the javelin with a distance of 137-4. 

Alexis Lovrich took first place in the 800m run, 1600m run, and the 3200m run with times of 2:44.4, 5:42.3, and 13:03. Brielle Campbell took first in the 200m run with a time of 28.6. Chloe Stoltzfus took first in the 300m hurdles with a time of 53.7. The 400m relay team (Brielle Campbell, Lydia Worthing, Chloe Hammond, and Briley Campbell) took first with a time of 53.3. 

Lydia Worthing took first in the high jump and pole vault, with a distance of 4-10 and a height of 9-6. Alyson Partner took first place in shot put with a distance of 30-4.25. Chelsea McCaulsky took first in discus and javelin with distances of 79-11 and 106-5. 

Next on the schedule for the Blue Devils is Tyrone, which will be a home meet held on Tuesday, April 25.
