One of this week’s Feature Teachers is David Logue, one of the newest additions to Bellwood-Antis. Replacing Ms. Hull, the long-time choir and middle school general music teacher, Mr. Logue had big shoes to fill.
Mr. Logue graduated from Hollidaysburg. He then went on and studied at West Chester University, which earned him a double Bachelors in Music Education and Music Theory and Composition. He then continued on to get his masters in Music Theory at the University of Minnesota. He added, “Yes, it was during COVID, and yes, I did it on campus.”
When asked his opinion of Bellwood and it’s school district, Mr. Logue replied, “I love Bellwood so far! I really like the close-knit community.” With a follow up question of why he choose our district over other’s, he responded, “It provides opportunities where a student can be particularly cared for. Sometimes at larger schools, students get lost in the mix and get lost in the crowd, when they could achieve more with the closer relationships with teachers.”
Mr. Logue had a piece of advice for students this school year: “Always stay focused on the long goal, and never get caught up in the mundaneness of daily school life.”
On behalf of the Blueprint, congratulations Mr. Logue, and we can’t wait to see what you and your students accomplish this school year!
