3 Keys to a Victory

The Bellwood-Antis boys basketball team goes up against 14-3 Mount Union tonight at 7:30 p.m.  Two of the Trojans losses came against Tyrone and West Branch, two of the top teams in District 6-AA.  Mount Union beat the Blue Devils in December 58-57.

Sophomore Jarrett Taneyhill is tonight’s 3 Keys feature, here’s what he had to say about the components of a Blue Devils victory:

  1. Stay patient on offense: When we are patient we get wide open looks.  We did a good job of this at West Branch and our offense was great.
  2. Stop the other team from getting in the key: Mount Union is a very quick team that likes to drive the basket.  We need to keep them out and limit easy buckets.
  3. Blue Devil Nation: We need BDN to get loud because it really gives us more energy on the court. BDN is the key to getting a victory tonight.
