Today April 30th, The United States observes Law Day as a day to encourage all Americans to reflect on the personal rights and liberties which are enjoyed and exercised daily.
The goal of Law Day is to encourage us to reflect on the role of law in the foundation of the country and how important it is to our society.
The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States are two very important documents that uphold our rights and freedoms for everyone.
This day is asking Americans to focus on every legal rights laid out in the fundamental documents of American democracy.
The day was introduced in 1958, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaimed Law Day to be observed each year on May 1st.
So today celebrate the rule of law in a free society.
