Over that past 4 years, Morgan Kienzle pictures on the Blueprint have become something people look forward to after each game or big event, but nobody really knows how long it takes and what goes one in the whole process.
“My process is a long time commitment that not everyone expects,” Morgan said.
The entire effort takes about 2 hours, and when you balance that with all of Morgan’s other activities, it’s incredible how much she gets done in a single week.
To prepare football pictures, Morgan says that she first has to stand through the entire game to capture the best shots, then look through the photos to choose the ones she wants to showcase. Lastly, she has to create the photo story, which also takes a while.“ All in all, its a long process that I go through almost every week.” she said.
For those who look forward to the BluePribnt’s sports coverage, the effort pays off.
“Morgan has taken sports pictures for us since she was a freshman, and honestly I don’t know what we would do without her,” said BluePrint advisor Mr. Naylor. “She has a true talent for photography and she puts a lot of effort into what she does. It’ will be hard to replace her next year.”
Other than keeping up with photography, Morgan also keeps up with volleyball, a jewelry business, and being a barista at Cosmic Charlie’s Coffee House. She also plans to be in the spring musical.
Although Morgan stays busy with other things, she still plans to go to college for Interior Design and Interior Architecture. She says she would like to keep doing photography on the side since she is “passionate” about it.
“I do really want to minor in photography because I am still passionate about it and could hopefully integrate it into my future career somehow.” she said
