Mrs. Davis: Middle School Teacher Feature
The middle school teacher feature for this month is Mrs. Deanna Davis.
She has been teaching for 28 years. The classes she teaches are Math, History, English, Reading, Spelling and Guidance.
Mrs. Davis graduated from is Bellwood-Antis and she graduated college at Lock Haven University.
What she likes about her job is getting to spend her day with kids who are excitable, eager to learn, and pleasant to be around. She also likes spending her day with a group of educators who are devoted to their careers.
She chose this career because she loves what she does.
“Teaching is a new adventure every day. I love that each day is a new experience,” she said.
Mrs. Davis has a daughter who also is a teacher. Alyssa, a 2010 BA graduate, currently teaches English at Glendale. She said, “It is pretty cool to see my oldest follow in the education field as well as my youngest.”
She added, “I guess you could say it is in our blood as my father was a teacher at Bellwood-Antis also.”
“Bellwood is a great place to work. Awesome students, parents, faculty and supervisors. Everyone is always eager to support each other,” said Mrs. Davis.
