Athlete of the Week: Joe Padula

Last Friday the Blue Devils took on the Tyrone Eagles.
The Devils came out with a victory over the Eagles, 73-62.
Junior Joe Padula accumulated 21 of the points that night.
For his efforts Padula is the athlete of the week.
The Blue Devils next game is Juniata Valley on Thursday 7:30.
BluePrint: How did you get involved with basketball?
Padula: I had a toy basketball hoop and I always liked to shoot around.
BluePrint: What position do you play?
Padula: I am a guard.
BluePrint: What’s your favorite thing about the sport?
Padula: My favorite thing is that I get to play with the team I do.
BluePrint: How do you plan to improve from last season as an individual? As a team?
Padula: I think I need to keep working hard and the team as well.
BluePrint: How do you predict your season will go?
Padula: I think our season will go well as long as we keep working hard.
BluePrint: Are you interesting in playing basketball in college?
Padula: Yes I’d like to play basketball or baseball in college.
BluePrint: What aspect of your game did you work on most in the off-season?
Padula: I worked a lot on my shooting.
BluePrint: What is the chemistry like on the team this year?
Padula: It’s good. Were all like brothers and everyone gets along really well.
