Last week senior Cory Parson pitched a complete game shut out against West Branch to open the season.

The baseball team had a 4-0 win in that one.

He followed it up Saturday by pitching 4 and 1/3 innings of relief against Tyrone rivals, once again picking up the victory as B-A won 16-12.

Parson is now 2-0 with a 1.25 ERA.

How did you get involved with baseball?

Parson: My dad and pap have worked with me since I was little.

What’s the best part of baseball?

Parson: The satisfaction of winning.

What position do you play?

Parson: Pitcher.

How did you get a win against West Branch?

Parson: Freshman Trenton Whaley came in clutch when we needed a big hit.

How do you predict the rest of the season will go?

Parson: If we fix key mistakes, we will go far this season.
