This year Aevidum and Blair County will come together for a color run.

The color run will take place at the Hollidaysburg Area High School on April 8.

Registration is $30 and is due by March 14 in order to guarantee a t-shirt and color pack.

A color run is a 5K race where  people get together and run through a fabulous array of beautiful colors generally produced by non-toxic and completely safe paints.

With all the Blair County groups, we expect to break 100-150.

— Mr. Stewart

According to Aevidum advisor Mr. Brandon Stewart, last year multiple Aevidum groups from Blair County met and came together to decide on undertaking a color run.

Mr. Stewart, hopes to get at least 40 students or staff members from B-A to attend.

“With all the Blair County groups, we expect to break 100-150,” said Mr. Stewart.

There are already 16 people signed up from Bellwood with many more interested.

Aevidum stands for positivity and mental wellness and the group feels that the color run is a great way to promote that same message “as well as offering the opportunity to come together with other Aevidum groups across Blair County,” said Mr. Stewart.

This year the B-A chapter of Aevidum has already participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk to promote suicide awareness and hosted the annual activity fair prior to Christmas break.
