A successful high school sports career is what every senior wants.

And B-A senior receiver/defensive back Ian McFarland has had a successful high school career.

“He is a really smart player, and works hard at practice,” said Coach Nick Lovrich.

The Blue Devils’ record at the moment is 3-0, and McFarland is pleased with that.

Ian is leading the team with six receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He had a  breakout game last week against Claysburg-Kimmel with 3 receptions for 115 yards.

“I think the season has been going well,”said McFarland, who added says that with winning there’s always room for improvement.

Ian believes everyone on the team is playing well so far, but, he said “I don’t think that the team is playing to their full potential yet.

“There are still seven games left in the season to improve. I think that once we start playing to our full potential as a team, we’ll have the ability to do great things,”he said.

Ian said the team’s strength is the bond between players.

McFarland said “Everyone respects each other and I feel like we can trust each other.”
