This week a Bellwood-Antis junior scored her 50th goal.

Riley D’Angelo is part of the co-op soccer team with Tyrone. As a freshman she had 20 goals to aid in a team record of 8-5. During her sophomore year she increased her productivity to 21 goals but the team had only one win. This year she has had 10 goals leading to two wins so far.

When talking about her goals she said, “I really want to break the record,” which is 76 goals in a career.

D’Angelo would need to start out with matching some of her previous goals and maybe even equaling Marisa Panasiti’s single-season record of 34 goals.

She is really excited and glad that scoring her 50th goal is over.

“We’ve been struggling, but it’s a  rebuilding year and I think next year we should be better,” said D’Angelo.

A three-sport athlete who also stars in basketball and track, D’Angelo was chosen as the BluePrint’s Athlete of the Week because of her hard work on and off the field.  Congratulations Riley and keep on kicking through the season.
