Sakeria Haralson might have just moved to B-A from Altoona but the move has only benefited the volleyball player.

“The transfer to Bellwood has changed me in ways I can’t explain. I love it here,” Sakeria said.

This confidence showed this last week. The sophomore totaled 37 kills, and 11 spikes as the Lady Blue Devils went 3-0.

This strong performance is why she has been named the BluePrint’s Athlete of the Week.

Haralson has high hopes for herself, and her team as the season progresses.

“I want to keep improving and help my team be the best that we can,” said Sakeria. “I expect the team to keep playing as amazingly as they have been and keep winning as the season goes on, and I think we can, as long as we stay on the path we are on right now I think we can win the majority of our games.”

Haralson humbly credits the friendship on the Lady Blue Devils for their strong 6-1 start.

“I believe there are very strong bonds on our team, without our bond we wouldn’t be playing this well together,” Haralson said.
