Feature Teacher: Mrs. Gonder
No place like fifth grade!

Mrs. Christine Gonder is a wonderful fifth grade teacher at Bellwood-Antis Middle School. She teaches English, social studies, reading, and mathematics. She has been teaching for 30 years and plans to stay for at least five more.
Mrs. Gonder says fifth grade has been her favorite grade to teach. She has been teaching fifth grade the longest. “I started teaching because I love kids and watching them learn,” she told us. Mrs. Gonder’s favorite subject to teach is English. “English with a capital E,” she said.
Mrs. Gonder describes Bellwood as a “great, small, helpful community.” In her free time she likes to walk stating, “Gotta get those steps in!”
Mrs. Gonder is a very kind, successful, and hard working woman. She got her teaching degree at Penn State University. Everyone loves Mrs. Gonder and her great personality. I’m sure you would agree!
