The Blue Devils continued their 8-game win streak with a victory over Tussey Mountain Friday on Senior Night at Memorial Stadium, making the Titans play as a one dimensional team.

The victory sealed the ICC championship for the Blue Devils.

“At the beginning of the year, we set a goal of winning the ICC Championship so it is very gratifying to reach that goal.  Our guys have worked very hard this season to accomplish this goal so I am very happy for them,” said head coach Nick Lovrich.

The game remained scoreless after the end of the first quarter, but in the second quarter Shawn Wolfe broke on a pass from Matthew Leonard and returned the interception  39 yards fir a score to put the Blue Devils up 7-0.

“I thought we had a great team effort to shut down their passing game.  To hold a quarterback to six yards in a game after he has passed for over 1,200 for the season is a great accomplishment.  It took great effort from our pass rush and our guys covering for us to have those results,” said Coach Lovrich.

Shawn Wolfe had another big boost, scoring with two mins left in the 2nd quarter, and putting B-A on top 14-0 at the half.

During the third quarter, the Titans were able to put up one touchdown making the score at the end of the third quarter on a run by Leonard to make it 14-7.

Wolfe connected with  Andrew Hale at the beginning of the fourth quarter to extend the lead and had a 30 yard run to close it out.

“We struggled moving the ball a little at times, but towards the end of the game our line really stepped up their game.  Our backs were hitting holes hard and blocking very well for each other.  Shawn may have not had great statistics, but we thought he played a really good game,” said Coach Lovrich.
