BELLWOOD THEN AND NOW: the gym

Up until the 1990s, the current middle school gym was THE gym, used for all winter varsity sports. That changed with the remodeling and expansion project completed in 1990. Some things have stayed the same, including the center divider, but now the gym is used almost exclusively for middle school events, though even the junior high basketball teams now play in the varsity gym. The lone varsity sport that still playes in what is now the middle school gym is wrestling.
