It is that time of the year again!  The 16th annual Poetry Slam will take place on Monday, May 13.

The Poetry Slam is an opportunity for students to get in front of their peers and read a piece of poetry they wrote in class.

Last year’s winners were Malia Danish and Nicholas Caracciolo in Duo, Hunter Gregg as Best New Slammer, Tylar Clemente in Humorous and Isabella Barbosa as Best Overall.

There are three different categories you can enter for Individual Poems, Duo Poems, and Humorous Poems.  The top finishers in each category will earn medals.

To participate, you must get an entry form from your English teacher, and then submit the form and a copy of your poem to Mr. Naylor or your English Teacher by May 10.

Be sure to sign up soon so you do not miss out on your chance to be a part of this Bellwood-Antis tradition!
