Many may overlook cross country when they think of fall sports, but senior runner Caedon Poe is certainly making a name for himself.

For his dominance this season, the Blueprint has named Poe Athlete of the Week.

In the four meets so far this season, Bellwood as a team has won all four. Individually, Poe placed first in three of them and second in the other.

“It’s all about the work I put in,” said Poe regarding his success. “I’ve put in lots of miles over the past few months, and it’s paying off.”

When asked about what made Caedon get into cross country, he explained: “I just thought I might be good at it.”

This will be Poe’s fourth and final season on the cross country team, and his goals for this year are “to get ICC all-stars and win ICC’s this year.”

Good luck to the B-A cross country squad for the rest of the season!
