ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Caleb Beiswenger
Caleb Beiswenger recently wrapped up a highly successful senior basketball season.

Senior Caleb Beiswenger, a standout varsity basketball player at Bellwood-Antis, is this week’s Athlete of the Week.
Recently, Caleb was named the Altoona Mirror Athlete of the Week, and received an invitation to play on the Altoona Mirror All Star Team. He will represent a team from Blair County against an all-star team made up of players from the remainder of the Mirror’s coverage area.
During the 2022-2023 season, Caleb averaged 15 points per game with 4 assists and 4 rebounds. The team finished with an overall record of 9-13, narrowly missing the District 6 playoffs.
“Our record wasn’t as good as we wanted it to be, but we finished out the season on the right side of things,” said Caleb. “It was a fun year and a great group of guys.”
In addition to basketball, Caleb also participated in B-A golf during the fall season, and is running distance events in the upcoming track season.
After high school, Caleb plans on attending college to further his basketball career and obtain a degree in either health science or business.
