The Bellwood-Antis Unified bocce team has been named the Blueprint’s Athlete of the Week!

This week, B-A had back-to-back bocce meets on Tuesday against Bedford, and Wednesday against Central.

The bocce team lost in overtime by 1 point against Bedford, and also lost to Central. But it was Senior Night and a great experience, with tons of friends and family coming out to show love to the team.

The school has done a great job throughout the whole season showing love and supporting the bocce team, which also last week announced the hosting of the “Polar Pop” for Special Olympics, where students can donate money to drop a water balloon on their favorite teacher’s head.

Bocce star Noah Larson, who is loved by everyone in the district, lives by one quote: “Save the game!”  The team uses that as motivation as they can potentially head into playoffs, where they are seeded 4th in the District with their record of 3-3.

Team members include Tighe Eaken, Noah Larson, Gavin Ridgway, Parker Lucas, Lexi Lovrich, Jacob Miller, and Maddy Pulcinello, Seniors recognized at Wednesday’s match were Lexi, Tighe, and Gavin.

Congratulations, and good luck!
