Just Junior: Olivia Hess
Olivia Hess is a junior at B-A and has been going here her whole life.
She is not only an amazing student, but an even better basketball player. Olivia has been playing basketball since she was in kindergarten.
“I have fun being around my teammates and coaches, and getting to play a sport we all love,” she said.
Olivia is also a member of the BluePrint staff and that is her favorite class she took this year. She loves it due to the opportunities she has been offered and things she’s gotten to experience through her time in this class.
After high school Olivia plans on attending college for something business-related. Major wise, she is interested in anything from Economics to Marketing.
Outside of school she loves going on walks, watching movies, listening to her favorite artist, Taylor Swift, reading, relaxing on her deck, and doing things with her friends.
Although many are scared heading into their senior year, Olivia’s approach is head-on,
“There is so much going on an so much to think about. It’s bittersweet, being the last year of high school, but I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” Olivia said.
This summer Olivia plans on working in the gift shops at DelGrosso’s Park and Laguna Splash.
When asked to give her best advice to upcoming Juniors, Olivia said this: “Junior year is the time where you see how strong of a foundation you’ve laid the past two years of high school. So, especially in this year, find something to strive for. If you don’t know where you’re going or what you’re doing, you’re getting there. And that’s something to be proud of. So, always hold your own, trust yourself, and go your own way.”
Good luck to Olivia in whatever she chooses to do!
