Monday night the Lady Blue Devils traveled to Martinsburg to take on the Central Dragons. The Lady Blue Devils won 62-45 and got most of their lead in the third quarter. The Lady Blue Devils improved their record to 11-5.
These two teams faced off less than a week ago, with Bellwood winning that game 42-35.
In a matchup that was tight for most of the first half, B-A had a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Blue Devils kept the same pace in the second quarter and held a 26-22 lead at halftime.
However, after a rocky first two quarters, B-A was on fire in the third quarter scoring 22 points.
Bellwood’s Lily Gerwert led the team with 18 points and added 6 rebounds. The Blue Devils had two other players score double digits, Chloe Hammond and Marissa Cacciotti with 15 points and 10 points respectively.
The Lady Blue Devils matched the Central Dragons with 14 points in the fourth and held on to win by a margin of 17.
The team will travel to take on Bishop Guilfoyle Thursday.
