Brian Leap took up the sport of track and field in 10th grade and became an instant winner, qualifying for the PIAA championship every year he participated. However, his best years were ahead of him as a jumper at Penn State, where he became one of the top triple jumpers in America, winning a Big 10 title and earning an Olympic tryout.
