Jacob Caracciolo has committed to Juniata College with a major in chemistry and focus on pre-veterinary medicine.
Located in Huntington, Juniata College is a private liberal arts college. Jacob chose Juniata knowing a lot of Bellwood-Antis alumni had great success there. He also believes this will be a smooth transition from a small high school like Bellwood, since Juniata has an enrollment just over 1,200.
“I think I will adapt to this new environment, considering that both Bellwood-Antis and Juniata College are smaller schools,” said Jacob.
With his degree, he hopes to become a doctor of veterinary medicine and to eventually open his own practice.
When asked about how Bellwood has impacted his educational career, he said, “The teachers and great community have impacted my educational career the most. Bellwood has so many great teachers that deeply care about the students, and I am very thankful for that.”
As for advice he would give to the lower classman, Jacob recommended keeping things in perspective.
“To the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen: don’t worry about the SAT. It’s not as big of a deal as it seems.”
Jacob is an honors student and NHS member who has made his mark in B-A’s musical productions. This year he will star as the title character when B-A performs Shrek the Musical this spring.
Good luck to Jacob on his future goals!
