The girls’ softball team travelled to Williamsburg yesterday in search of their first win on the young season.

B-A came out of the gates just as they needed to against Williamsburg by scoring two runs in the top of the first off of a two RBI single from Krystina Taylor. However this was all the runs the Blue Devils could muster up for the rest of the game in a 4-2 loss.

Ashtyn Payne took the loss.

After B-A went ahead, Williamsburg answered with one run in the bottom of the first and then took a 3-2 in the second inning and never looked back. Williamsburg also scored a run in the fourth.

Marissa Harclerode earned the win and Taylor Mikesic got the save for the Blue Pirates.

Payne had two hits, including a double, to lead the Blue Devils. Haley Schmidt also doubled.

B-A fell to 0-3 on the year and will look to get in the win column Friday when they take on rival Tyrone.
