On Wednesday, November 1, the Leo Club will be sponsor the Red Cross Blood Drive in the middle school gym.

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age and have a parents sign consent to donate. All students MUST have a blood donor card or a picture I.D. card. Students must stay in class unless they have a red donation bracelet given to them on that day.

The goals in terms of units of blood collected is 29 units. In the past four years, the LEO Club has not reached its goal, but it usually comes very close.

If the group reaches the goal of 29 units, it is eligible for a $250 scholarship.

The number of students that participate is around 44. The LEO Club take approximately that many sign-ups, but not all of those that sign up will be able to donate. Some factors can present themselves during the registration process that prevent students from donating.

The LEO Club sponsors the blood drive every year in the fall, usually in November.
