Bellwood-Antis seniors had one last day of organized classes at B-A Tuesday, although it was far from the typical day of classes.
The entire student body kicked off the day with the annual yearbook dedication ceremony before students were treated to a special breakfast. This year, dedications went to senior high science teacher Dr. Travis Martin, who was presented the honor by his daughter, senior Payton Martin; senior high special education teacher Mrs. Shannon Elder; and the entire greeter staff from the high school and Myers elementary.
Afterwards, seniors went on the Senior Walk, donning caps and gowns to march through the hallways of their education, starting at Myers Elementary before moving to the middle school and high school hallways.
Students and teachers from all levels lined the hallways to say goodbye and cheer on the graduates.
Seniors would return on Wednesday and Thursday for graduation practice.
Commencement ceremonies take place Friday, May 29 at Memorial Field beginning at 7 p.m. This year’s valedictorian is Marissa Cacciotti and the salutatorian is Cooper Lovrich. The guest speaker is Mr. Jeff Hanna, a long-time school security guard and 1979 B-A graduate who is retiring this year.
