Second baseman Ian McFarland is having himself a nice senior season on the diamond for the Blue Devils.

Along with a nifty .377 average, the senior has driven in 18 runs and smacked six doubles, helping lead the team to a 14-3 record in the final week of the regular season.

“Ian has been outstanding for us all year. He is very consistent at second base making plays when needed,” said Coach Steve Conlon. “At the plate, he leads off and does an excellent job of getting the team going.  His speed is a tremendous. When he is on base, he has the ability to get into scoring position with steals.  He’s had an outstanding senior season.”

It’s a nice way to wind down what has been a solid baseball career at B-A, one in which Ian has amassed a .265 career average with 36 hits and 40 runs scored.
