SPORTS ROUND-UP: Volleyball team knocks off Claysburg

Last night The Lady Devils traveled to Claysburg hoping to continue its recovery from last week’s loss against West Branch.

The Lady Devils won 3-1, taking down the same team that knocked off the Lady Warriors last week.

B-A lost the first set 21-25 but bounced back  and won the second set 25-21.

BA started to gain some momentum, and they came out on top in the third set 25-10.

In the fourth set the Lady Devils the Bulldogs by storm, winning 25-23 for the match.

The Lady Devils record is now 11-2.

Junior Karlie Feathers helped B-A power through the night with 20 service points.

Sydney Lechner aided the girls with a total of 42 assists.

GIRLS SOCCER TIES

The girls soccer team tied Bellefonte in double overtime yesterday in Tyrone.

It was a big step for the team, which lost to the 8-3-1 Lady Raiders 5-1 earlier this season.

Their record goes to 3-8-2

CROSS COUNTRY

The boys cross country team lost to Tyrone yesterday in a double-dual meet but beat Williamsburg.

The girls team also lost to Tyrone and beat Williamsburg.

Kenny Robison placed first for Bellwood against the Pirates with a time of 19:52.

Jenna Bartlett placed first in the girls race with a time of 21:46.
