Avah Hassler was one of several B-A athletes to earn ribbons at the Mountain Lion Invitational.

Friday the Blue Devils traveled to Altoona to participate in the Mt. Lion Classic. The boys placed 8th out of 32 teams and the girls placed 16th out of 29 teams.

Bellwood placed in 7 different events and the team was highlighted by Kole Dickinson who came in first in both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles, with times of 15.53 and 40.74.

Dickinson originally had missed out on qualifying for the final because another hurdler tripped and fell in front of him. Meet officials got together and agreed that the heat should be re-run and Kole was able to qualify and then go on to win the finals.

The Blue Devils also received podium finishes from Dalton Poorman who placed 2nd in the pole vault with a distance of 12-6 and Chloe Stoltzfus who placed 3rd in the 300m hurdles with a time of 49.54.

Avah Hassler was another placer for the Blue Devils. Hassler finished 6th in the 400m with a time 1:02.73.

Bellwood was also able to get points from both the boys and girls 4×400 meter relay teams, who placed 5th and 6th respectively.

Good luck to the Bellwood track and fields teams, who are competing in the LHAC Championship today.
